Furl遭到用户抱怨

续Bloglines遭到大量blogger的质问之后,现在又有人开始抱怨 Furl 了。作为Furl的资深用户和狂热推广者,Marshall Kirkpatrick对Furl的不思进取几近忍无可忍,例如:主页的新闻是几个月前的,界面古板落后,Topic的落伍,没有企业blog使得和用户的沟通几乎空白,目前而言似乎Furl除了cache外再也没有过人的功能。他的这些看法引起了不少blogger的关注,并在blog圈内得以传播,在Kirkpatrick将抱怨送到Furl后,Looksmart的CTO承诺将在近期和他进行电话沟通。What a surprise !

值得注意的是,无论是bloglines还是furl,之所以会引发抱怨,很重要的原因是用户对这些服务有所不满而又充满期待,但同时又不清楚它们的开发进度和发展远景,因此时时担心期待落空,从而对服务产生一种不信任感。

Hi there, thanks for covering my write up on Furl. I too was surprised that the LookSmart CTO was up for a phone call. We talked this morning for quite some time and it was very good. It sounds like they are looking towards making lots of changes in the near future and hopefully will reflect more of the best of Web2.0. They are prioritizing, however, the introductory level user who is not hip to tools like Del.icio.us and other cutting edge Web 2.0 developments. I can understand that, but I hope they will build something that is the best of both worlds. It would be great if many of these companies kept one foot in each world, the new and the old of the internet. In my experience many of them are interested in communicating with users, though I wonder how many engage in international communication. I found your blog via my traffic monitor displaying it as a refering URL and then copied and pasted this post into Google's translation tool. I am very glad to be linked to internationally and hope the conversation is of use to your readers as well.
