Searchfox退出江湖

收到了Searchfox的邮件：

SearchFox Users,

Thanks for all your help in making SearchFox what it is. We have enjoyed providing this service, and hope that you have enjoyed using it. Please export all of your links and an OPML file with your RSS sources before the site shuts down. In accordance with our privacy policy, we will delete all personal information on January 25 after we shut down the services.

Searchfox这个去年九月底才推出的在线RSS阅读器，现在却黯然地选择退出。有人写信给Esteban Kozak询问个中原因，但他至今不肯给出一个具体的解释，不过在线RSS阅读器竞争激烈确是不争的事实。其实Searchfox是个非常有特点的RSS阅读器，我在先前也曾经关注过(1,2)，哪里想到，还不到4个月，它就宣布倒闭，这不得不让人怀疑，其最初的目的是否就是让人收购？不管怎样，那些为数不多的用户，也许，将不得不回流到Bloglines。

故事出现了戏剧性的发展，来自TechCrunch的消息，searchfox被证实已被yahoo纳入帐下，唯一不确定的是，究竟是yahoo的收购导致了searchfox的关闭，还是searchfox的关闭导致了yahoo的收购。
